Qadamiq Privacy Policy
Effective 5 October 2026
Qadamiq is a daily companion app for Muslims: prayer times, Qibla, Quran, missions and a good deeds diary. It is developed and published by Qudexa ("we", "us"). The app is built so that almost everything stays on your phone. This policy explains what happens to your information.
Without an account
If you never create an account, nothing you do in the app is sent to us. Your missions, points, rewards, prayer tracker, good deeds diary, fasting tracker, tasbih count, bookmarks and settings are stored only on your device.
Location
If you tap "Use my location", the app reads your phone's position to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction. The position is used and stored on your phone only and is never sent to us or anyone else. You can choose a city instead.
Listening to the Quran
When you play a recitation that you have not downloaded, the app fetches the audio from the Islamic Network audio service (cdn.islamic.network). As with any web request, that service receives your device's IP address and the file requested. No account details or other personal information are sent. Surahs you download are saved on your phone and then play without the internet.
With an account (optional)
Creating an account lets you back up your progress and join family and friends groups. Then we store:
- Your email address and password, to sign you in. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text.
- The name you choose, shown to people in your groups.
- A profile photo, only if you add one. It is stored with Cloudinary and shown to people in your groups. You can remove it in Account.
- A backup of the app's data (missions, points, rewards, prayer and fasting tracker, good deeds diary, bookmarks and settings) if automatic backup is on. Only you can read your backup. You can turn backup off in Account.
- Group information: groups you create or join, group missions, encouragement you send, and, if you allow it, how many missions and prayers you completed each day. Only counts are shared, never which ones. Prayer counts are not shared unless you turn this on.
We use this information only to provide these features. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the service providers below, which store it on our behalf.
Where it is stored
Account data is stored with Supabase, which hosts the database for us. Profile photos are stored with Cloudinary. Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Database rules ensure people can only see their own data and the shared counts of people in their groups.
Notifications
Prayer reminders and the adhan are scheduled on your phone. No notification service or server is involved.
What we do not do
- No advertising and no ad identifiers.
- No analytics or tracking tools.
- No selling or renting of data.
Deleting your account and data
In the app: open Account (the person icon at the top of the Prayer tab) and tap Delete account. This immediately deletes your account, your backup, your name, your shared progress and your encouragement messages, and removes the link to your profile photo. To have the photo file itself erased from Cloudinary, email us (below); we do this within 30 days. Groups you created are deleted for everyone.
By email: if you cannot use the app, email info@qudexa.tech from the address of your account and ask us to delete it. We will delete it within 30 days.
Data on your phone is deleted when you uninstall the app.
Children
Qadamiq is intended for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through accounts.
Content sources
Quran text from Tanzil.net. Bangla translation by Dr. Abu Bakr Muhammad Zakaria from QuranEnc.com. Both are bundled in the app, so reading them sends no data. Recitations are provided by Islamic Network, as described above.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
